The TEAM Productions and The Columbus Athenaeum are proud to announce the next installment in The TEAM’s “BALLROOM BREAKOUT!” Series. And this time, they are inviting fans to come as their guests, absolutely for free!

The show will feature Magic Dick, a founding member of the J. Geils Band, playing alongside houseband and longtime Columbus rockers Terry Davidson & The Gears. Special Guest Willie Phoenix and his band will open the show. The event will be presented on April 19th at The Columbus Athenaeum. Doors open at 5PM. At that time, guests can enjoy great food and beverages available at The Athenaeum’s Pine Room Restaurant and browse a rock poster gallery and sale. Showtime is at 6:30.

Magic Dick is considered by many to be the world’s greatest harmonica player. Best known for his days with the energy-charged J. Geils Band, Magic Dick has also performed as a guest artist and harmonica soloist for Debbie Harry, Full Circle, The Del Fuegos, Buddy Guy, Shun Ng, and many others. In 1992, he and the late J. Geils formed the band Bluestime.

Terry Davidson & The Gears have been a favorite of local rock fans since the 80’s and have played with a variety of rock n’ roll greats including: Johnny Winter, ZZ Top, Muddy Waters, Lynyrd Skynyrd, BB King, AC/DC, Leon Russell, and many more. They have a new album, “Transmission” and recently performed with Mitch Ryder as the house band for the premier BALLROOM BREAKOUT! Show
