Carriers is the warm indie-rock project of Cincinnati songwriter Curt Kiser. Influenced by classics like Bob Dylan and Tom Petty, he offers a dreamy take on Americana, balancing intimate lyricism with a sound you can get lost in. Stereogum summed it up well, calling Carriers “hallucinatory heartland rock” and “dreamy, Dylan-esque.” His second album Every Time I Feel Afraid on Brassland (The National) last year earned widespread critical acclaim from tastemakers including Stereogum, BrooklynVegan, KEXP, KCRW, World Cafe, and more. KEXP praised Carriers as “a warm, vivid exploration of Americana and indie-rock” and called the album “a true triumph.”
