Nuclear Monkey is a Miami-based, Indie Jazz-Rock band born from the songwriting of Nate Neuwirth. Neuwirth founded Nuclear Monkey alongside David Becker in 2021, and released the self-produced band’s debut, “What Wild Ecstacy!” in September of 2022. Neuwirth now attends University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, where he met fellow band members Tyler Pons, Max Melo, Eli Katz, Andreas Kellapouris, Joel Newell, and Giuli Machado.

In Miami, Nuclear Monkey developed a unique live sound that combines their Jazz education with their psychedelic, indie, and folk-rock influence. They began a video series of performances from their dorm room, called the “Nuclear Monkey Tiny Dorm Series”, which gained them a significant social media following on Instagram and Spotify. Nuclear Monkey continues to write, record, and perform music in Miami.
