The Insect - “Rockin’ yo hive since ’95!”

Born in Athens, Ohio during the garage/punk surge of the ‘90’s, The Insect blended the best of Soul, ‘60’s garage, and early punk into a high energy sound that was unique for the times.

With one full length LP (produced by Mick Collins of The Gories/Dirt Bombs fame!) and a fistful of singles, this quintet of regional Mid-West road warriors were regulars in Columbus, Oh, Cleveland, Detroit, Cincinnati, Chicago, Pittsburgh, as well as their hometown of Athens, sharing the stage with the likes of  Electric Six, The Hentchmen, New Bomb Turks, Man…or Astroman, and just recently, The Sadies.  Their infectious sound and manic live show keeps the seats vacant  the dance floor jumpin’!
